Students will be able to keep their Chromebooks throughout the summer. Benefits of allowing students to keep their Chromebooks include:  Summer learning opportunities will not be delayed and should be more seamless. Students will have their Chromebook on the first day of the 21-22SY. Students will have uninterrupted access to teachers and instructional materials. 21-22SY assessments will not be delayed.

There a few exceptions!

 Current (20-21SY) 5th, 8th, and 12th-grade students must return their Chromebooks where they are currently enrolled. See the return schedule below.

 Rising 6th and 9th graders will be issued a new Chromebook from the school they will be attending for the 21-22SY. These rising 6th and 9th graders can pick up their Chromebook after the last day of school but will need to coordinate with the school for pickup times.

 Students who are currently enrolled in 2nd grade will continue to use their loaner device from this year until the beginning of next school year. At the beginning of the 21-22SY, 3rd graders will return their loaner devices and be issued an ELBC Chromebook.

 Students enrolling in a new school MUST return their Chromebook to the school they are currently enrolled in. If they are returning to a different CCPS school, they will be issued a Chromebook from their new school. This is the same process that is followed throughout the school year.

Additional Information

Chromebook support and service will continue for all students throughout the summer of 2021. Each school site is responsible for determining days/times the school technician will be available to assist students.

Remember to be good stewards of the Chromebooks and follow all policies and procedures set forth in the ELBC agreement and the student handbook.

Each school site will define drop-off and pick-up times for Chromebooks. School personnel will be available, along with the school technician, to check-in Chromebooks that are being returned.

Remember to return all items: Chromebook, Case, and power supply.
