We'll do several things:
~Read a Halloween story - "The Widow's Broom"
~Do a quick Halloween craft (you need a long piece of string or yarn)
~Preview Richard Fairgray's "Halloween Black Sand Beach"
~Hear Richard Fairgray's 5 tips for writing horror stories
~Learn about a writing contest
Check your grade level announcement classroom for the link.
The Horror Story Writing Contest
~Entries should be no more than 1 page in a Google Doc.
~Entries are due by the haunting hour, midnight, Wednesday, October 28.
~Judging will take place on Thursday, October 29.
~Prizes will be awarded!
~Winning entries will be published on the school website.
~The best stories will be read in a special presentation on Friday, October 30.
